#7 Sword of the Valiant

Yuletidings friends! This holiday season the boys have something special for you, it's an adaptation of ye olde Sword & Sorcery myth, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight! And we know what you're thinking, it's not the A24 film, oh no, it is the 1984 loose retelling directed by Stephen Weeks, Sword of the Valiant: The Legend of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Sean Connery, Miles O'Keeffe, and a good laugh are first on our list this year! 

#6 Conan the Barbarian (2011)

Creamboys rise! The day has finally come to cover the most quintessential sword and sorcery film....of the 2010s. It's  Conan the Barbarian (2011) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger's spiritual successor, Jason Momoa. Did this movie lose so much money at the box office that it single-handedly killed the sword and sorcery genre in film!? Could it be as bad as that (yes)!?!? Listen now to find out.

What is a Nibelungen you ask? Well, it's one of the little guys who live in the land of mist in Fritz Lang's 1924 cinematic retelling of the 1200 AD epic poem Nibelungenlied. Witness the first dragon ever to grace the screen and marvel at the wordless screams of this genre-defining silent film as the boys finally review a technically good movie on this week of Sorta Sorcery.

#4 Ator, the Fighting Eagle
